San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon endorses Colonel Paul Cook for Congress

APPLE VALLEY, CA – San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon made the following statement announcing his endorsement for Colonel Paul Cook (ret.), running in California’s Eighth Congressional District:

“I trust Paul Cook. He’s earned it. Colonel Paul Cook is a 26-year decorated Marine veteran and leader on the Armed Services Committee. As our Congressman, Paul has earned my trust to continue the fight to defeat ISIS and to ensure we stop terrorism from ever reaching our community again.”

California’s Eighth Congressional District covers the High Desert and mountains of San Bernardino County as well as Inyo and Mono Counties.

Cook served as an infantry officer and retired after 26 years as a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his time in combat, he was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts.
