APPLE VALLEY, CA – Master Sergeant Boyce W. Floyd, USMC (ret.) announced his endorsement for Colonel Paul Cook, running for Congress in California's Eighth District:

"I'm Master Sergeant Boyce W. Floyd, United States Marine Corps, retired. I served alongside Colonel Paul Cook in the jungles of Vietnam as his platoon sergeant, when Paul was a second lieutenant.

"Faced with deadly threats from a hardened enemy, Paul Cook always put the Marines under his command first. His leadership is why I'm alive today. Wounded in action, Paul Cook was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star with a V for Valor for his courageous service in defense of our nation.

"Paul Cook is a battle-tested leader who fights for our conservative values and principles in Washington. I urge you to send a real patriot to Congress by supporting Colonel Paul Cook."

Cook and Floyd served together in Vietnam as part of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment.
