YUCCA VALLEY – Retired US Marine Colonel Paul Cook announced the endorsement of the Lincoln Club of the Morongo Basin for his 8th Congressional District race.

The Lincoln Club of the Morongo Basin aims to promote, educate, and advance conservative principles of fiscal responsibility, limited government, free enterprise, rule of law, private property rights, and individual liberty.

Said Lincoln Club President Bill Warner, “Our club looked for a candidate who knows our region and will be active in finding solutions to the many problems we face. To put it bluntly, we want someone who will help carry out Lincoln’s legacy of facing challenges with thought and action. You can find many people to serve as a roadblock, but only a few who will think, act, and lead. Paul Cook is that candidate.

“His dedication to the principles of limited government is absolute, and his knowledge of issues affecting the High Desert and rural areas is unsurpassed in this race. We need him in Congress.”

Said Cook, “The Lincoln Club is an important group where I live because it contains so many community leaders and hard-working individuals. We share a philosophy of tackling problems, even when circumstances seem dire. I’m happy to have their endorsement and will work to make them proud in Congress.”
